What is Community Supported Agriculture?
CSA is a way for consumers to get involved in the production of their own food. They do this by buying a "share" in the early spring, pledging their support to us (the farmer) when cash is needed to begin the growing season. By doing this, they share the risks of unpredictable harvests, but also in the joys of eating premium produce when everything goes well.
The process for the consumer (shareholder) could not be simpler. Just register with us, and when the produce is ready, we will begin our weekly deliveries to specified locations. All you have to do is swing by the drop-off location on your way home from work, and enjoy your fresh veggies all week for a minimum of 12 weeks! It's easier than a weekly trip to the farmer's market.
We will hopefully deliver to Calgary, Cochrane, Airdrie, Olds, Didsbury, Sundre, and Carstairs, proud to be a supplier of locally produced food within this 100 mile radius. We strive to produce only the best vegetables with the most responsible farming methods, to bring you the healthiest and highest quality food for your family's table.
We will be offering 100 vegetable CSA full shares for 2012- possibly 150 if demand is high enough. Hopefully, by 2013 we should be able to offer up to 300 shares! By then, we may also have some fruit trees and strawberries producing, and the acre of saskatoons that we planted 2 years ago may be ready to produce. If they do, we will offer fruit CSA's alongside our vegetable ones.
If you're interested in becoming a part of this adventure with us, visit the Sign Up page and fill out a registration form. We'd be happy to have you on board.

It is thy pencil; take thy seeds, thy plants,
They are thy colours.
